5-Week Lenten Study

Every Wednesday starting on February 21 @ 7pm at EBOL Office at 6203 Piney Branch Rd NW

Study will be based on the book, “Jesus and the Disinherited” by Howard Thurman

coinWe are asking all members to set aside a small amount of money for each day of Lent in a coin folder. This sacrificial offering will make it possible for a United Methodist church in the Philippines to get a well that provides clean water!

LENTEN FAST 2018

When: Wednesday, Feb. 14 to Saturday, Mar. 31

Purpose: to share our food with the hungry; to restore broken relationships in our own family

Scriptural Basis for the Fast: Isaiah 58:6-12

Fast Details: * Water only from sunrise to sunset on Wednesdays and Fridays.

* No fast foods, fried foods, sodas or “sweets” Monday through Saturday.

* Sundays are days of Jubilee; you are free to eat whatever you desire.
